Alcohol is used, but primarily, viewers will see characters in every phase of illegal drug trade. Female workers are obliged to work naked so they are not able to steal the merchandise. A few scenes take place inside gentlemens clubs where strippers are dancing provocatively for customers. Several scenes show addicts injecting needles into various parts of their bodies. Pure heroin causes many users to overdose, and viewers see the corpses lying in various poses. Violence and bloodshed are pervasive. A man is doused with gasoline and set on fire. Beatings are used as teaching tools within the organization. Handguns and knives are carried on the streets and often used in street killings. A high percentage of law enforcement officers are portrayed as corrupt and aiding the drug trade.
