MovieDescription: FROM PARIS WITH LOVE Cast: John Travolta, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Kasia Smutniak, Richard Durden. Directed by Pierre Morel. In this action film, a diplomatic attaché in the U.S. Embassy in Paris with aspirations of becoming an intelligence operative, gets more than he bargained for when he is partnered with a flamboyant, unorthodox U.S. agent who has been sent to Paris to destroy a terrorist cell before it can attack an African diplomatic delegation. The MPAA has rated this film R for violence, drug content, language and brief sexuality. Strong language is pervasive throughout the film. The attaché is shown in bed having sexual relations with his girlfriend. No nudity is shown. Adults drink wine with dinner. The agent berates an officer and curses at him in an attempt to distract him from going through his personal belongings and finding his custom-made handgun. The two set out on a chase that involves a gunfight in a restaurant, a slum, and the streets of Paris. In each location, handguns and street weapons of all types are used in bloody, violent street-type fighting and the body count increases. Sometimes the victims are shot at point-blank range, causing a splatter of blood that covers the shooter and surroundings. The two agents collect a large amount of cocaine in a vase and use it as a bargaining tool with the local drug suppliers. They carry the vase through the streets of Paris and each uses some of the cocaine in an effort to hide their identity as operatives. An extreme car chase occurs on public freeways as gunfire is exchanged between vehicles, including the use of a rocket launcher to blow up a vehicle driven by a terrorist, putting other drivers in jeopardy. A suicide bomber strapped with explosives is found amid diplomatic delegates and is shot in the head before she can deploy the explosives.
