In this animated film, in order to save the family farm from foreclosure, a ten-year-old boy tries to find the treasure his grandfather buried in the backyard. As he learns more about his grandfather's adventures he comes to realize that his fate lies with the miniature world that lives just underground. The MPAA has rated this film PG for action and brief suggestive material. The film contains no profanity and just two very mild slang expressions for the human backside. The suggestive material refers to some scantily clad animated characters and a budding romance between two pre-teenagers. There are many scenes of moderate action, including slapstick falls, startles and chases. There are some battle scenes of higher action violence where characters bomb, attack and invade others territory. Fighting with swords, knives, spiked clubs, catapults, bows and arrows and other fantastical weaponry, is featured. It is implied that some characters are killed in a flood, though this is not shown onscreen.
