In this animated film, Emperor Penguins sing as a sign of belonging. When the great penguin songstress Norma Jean goes away for a few months and leaves an egg with her mate, Memphis, the egg takes a perilous tumble down a snowy embankment. The hatchling, Mumble, emerges as not only the worst singer ever but his feet simply cannot resist the temptation to tap dance. The MPAA has rated this movie PG for peril and crude humor. This film contains no strong language. The dialogue and imagery are sprinkled with some sexual innuendo, and crude slang terms. When Mumbles lack of singing voice and feet that cant be still cause him to be ostracized from his community, he meets up with a group of puffin penguins who appreciate his dance moves and invite him to party with them. Together they set out on several adventures, seeking the wisdom of a feathered Guru and traveling across vast landscapes to learn the meaning of life.
