MovieDescription: DADDY DAY CARE Cast: Eddie Murphy, Jeff Garlin, Steve Zahn, Anjelica Huston, Regina King, Leila Arcieri. Directed by Steve Carr. In this comedy, a dad who has lost a lucrative job joins with two of his co-workers to open a male-run day care center. They decide on a day care when they visit an elite, expensive day care center run in military fashion. Theirs eventually becomes a competitor. The MPAA rating is PG for language. There is no alcohol, no drug use, no weapons, and no violence. Day care centers are depicted in diverse ways: some as being run with strict rules, some by low-income people in trailer parks, others by psychics. Kids are shown pulling almost every possible prank, including drinking and burping up bubbles, pillow fights, screaming, eating paper, picking their noses, "missing" the commode, etc. A young girl kicks a man in the groin. An agent from Child Services comes to inspect the day care center. A bees' nest, a pet show and a missing tarantula are all part of the antics. A young boy draws closer to his dad as a result of this experience and several of the kids show remarkable progress.
