MovieDescription: BARBERSHOP Cast: Ice Cube, Eve, Anthony Anderson, Cedric the Entertainer, Sean Patrick Thomas, Troy Garity. Directed by Tim Story. This comedy portrays a typical day at a Chicago South side barbershop. The barbershop's owner is discouraged that he works so hard and never seems to get ahead. So in a weak moment, he makes a deal with a loan shark to sell the barbershop. He soon realizes his mistake. His barbershop is the hub of the not-so-nice neighborhood, where men and women can speak their minds. It's an open forum for any and all issues, some of which are sexual and at times crude in nature. The MPAA rates this film PG-13 for language, sexual content and brief drug references. The movie opens with a storefront robbery where a truck is backed through the front door. In another scene, a woman visits her boyfriend's apartment only to find another woman under the bed. They had slept together, but it was not portrayed on screen. Women wear suggestive clothing throughout the film and some French kissing is shown. A stolen ATM is one of the side stories and one man's hand and leg are crushed by it in different scenes. One of the shop stylists is a convicted felon who has a gun in his locker. Cigarette smoking and brief drug references are also used in the film.
