Four teens grow up in Mechanicsville, GA, a working class suburb of Atlanta where roller skating to Hip Hop is the thing to do. The challenges they face bring each to a turning point, thus changing their futures for the better. The MPAA has rated this film PG-13 for drug content, language, sexual material and violence. Mild to strong language includes some profanity. Passionate events take place in the back seat of a car and in bed, leading up to sexual encounters that are not seen by viewers. Teens are exposed to adult cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption but no abuse. Violence includes a drug dealer shooting a teenage seller in the stomach with a handgun. The same character is beaten by three gangsters who take his drug money. Skaters perform and compete to Hip Hop and Rap music that contains mild language.
