In this thriller, a predatory serial killer seeks out widowed or divorced women with children. He insinuates himself into the womans life and then becomes the stepfather to the children until he becomes disappointed with the new arrangement. The MPAA rates the film PG-13 for violence, disturbing images, mature thematic material and brief sensuality. A man is smothered by having a plastic bag held over his head. An elderly woman is thrown down stairs and then suffocated by having a hand placed over her mouth and nose. A woman is held underwater until she drowns. A woman and her children are shown dead with knife wounds on their bodies. Blood is shown on clothing and coming from a head wound as well as from an injured mouth. A large open wound is shown on a womans thigh. The slaughter of women and children is discussed in a few scenes. A lesbian couple is featured in the film. A teen couple lounges with him in swim trunks and the girl in a tiny bikini. She is shown in close-ups of various body parts. The couple embraces and kisses in a pool and on a bed. The film includes mild language and profanity. Alcohol is consumed on screen.
