MovieDescription: TYLER PERRYS I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF Cast: Taraji P. Henson, Adam Rodriguez, Tyler Perry, Hope Olaide Wilson, Mary J. Blige, Gladys Knight. Directed by Tyler Perry. In this drama, a womans life is inconvenienced when her niece and two nephews show up at her door with no place to live. The grandmother they lived with has gone missing and the kids were caught stealing. The MPAA has rated this film PG-13 for mature thematic material, violence, drug references and smoking. The film contains a few instances of mild profanity. Brief humorous references to drug use are included. Dialogue refers to atrocities to children including domestic abuse and child prostitution. In one scene a child is nearly sexually assaulted by an adult man, but the act is stopped by another man who severely beats the first. The beating is followed by the perpetrators near-electrocution as a woman drops a live electrical appliance in his bathtub. The man is injured but survives. In another scene a character manhandles children and beats them with a cane. Adults drink alcoholic beverages in several scenes including, at times, to the point of intoxication. Adults smoke cigarettes repeatedly in front of an asthmatic child. Children break into a house and attempt to steal possessions in an effort to buy themselves food and medicine. In another scene a young girl is caught trying to steal medical supplies from a store for her brother. Thematic elements include the death of a parent, child molestation, drug use and the effects it has on children in the womb.
